it looks like some kind of gross umbilical-cord-ish thing.
Unfortunately for me, I had a c-section and didn't get to see much in the way of that. Darn!
Looks like a piece of blown-glass sculpture. However, I don't really think that's pregnancy related...unless it's something a pregnant artist is working on.
Looks like an umbilical cord stump to me!
